Garth Stevenson is a musician and composer who has created music for many feature and documentary films. The Rising Voices/Hótȟaŋiŋpi score includes two songs from his album Flying, a 75-minute sound track inspired by Stevensen’s trip to Antarctica. Two songs from this album, Flux and Hourglass, are used in the opening of the film, and with the portrait of the Lakota artist Renelle White Buffalo.
